One Month and Lovin' It!!!!

Today marks one month since I started this blog. I really don't know why I didn't do this before. There are a few reasons why I am liking this.
  1. I like to write. One of my goals since I was a child is to someday write a book. I have to admit that this goal has been shoved back in the recesses of my mind. I do like to write though and this blog has given me an outlet for writing.
  2. I like to think. I am finding that the more I write the better I think. Sometimes I will whip out one of these blogs in just a matter of minutes but at other times it is a process that takes time. The nice thing is, I can sort of have a conversation with myself while writing. I can go back over what I wrote and say things like "Does that make sense?", "Do you really believe that?", "Are you sure you don't need to think this through a little more?", etc...
  3. I like the fact that this gives me a new way to connect with people in the congregation. I think blogging opens my mind to them (you) and can give people a real sense of who I am.
  4. I like the fact that I have to be disciplined and can be held accountable. I will admit, I am not the most discipline person in the world (right Walt!!!), but since I have started blogging I have found myself becoming disciplined in other areas. One area is personal time with God, but now that I am posting my SOAP studies it helps me be more devoted. I've also never had much accountability. Thank God I haven't gone off the deep end, but blogging opens my life up for people to hold me accountable. I thinks it great! (With that said, I'd like to thank whoever it is that challenged my essentials list. I knew I was going to have to spend more time on it. I just didn't think it was going to be this soon! But it is good. I love a good challenge and I promise to respond to you.)
Overall I am, once again, lovin' it. I would like to encourage all who read my blog to post comments and respond to what I am saying. As I said earlier in a blog. Iron sharpens iron like one man is suppose to sharpen another.

I'm glad you're lovin' it, it's very well done, you have some great posts, and great insight on those posts. I hope you keep it up, it's been a joy reading your blog.
