What's Going On With The Youth

Little article I put in the KCC Konnections email that is periodically sent out to our members at Kingman Christian Church.

If you would like to receive the full email update please visit the KCC website and email a request to be added to the list.  You may also follow us on Twitter or Facebook where a copy of the KCC Connection will be found.

Some important news for those interested in what is going on with the youth.

Pastor Brian will be teaching on dating and sex on May 27th and June 3.  This is an open event and we strongly encourage parents and anyone else who wants to know what the Bible says about these two topics to come and join us.  Teaching time will began at 7:30 pm.

Summer camp is approaching and we need to know who is going.  Middle school camp is going to be in Big Bear, again, June 8 - 13th.  Check out the camp at pinesummit.com. High school camp is June 15th - 19th in Las Vegas this year.  Check it out at ciy.com/move.  Deposits of $50 need to be in by May 17th.

This summer youth group will be taking a different direction.  Instead of doing the regular Wednesday night youth we will be doing small groups at leaders houses with an activity once or twice a month.  We are trying to encourage deeper relationship and accountability amongst our teens.  Some of the activities will include going to the lake, scooters and more.  Be on the look out for more info as we get closer to our summer break.

A lot of exciting things are coming our way.  As always, we do these things because we want to see Jesus be the most important person in the lives of our teens.  Please keep the KCC youth group members in your prayers.  This next year we will be experiencing some transition as many of our high schoolers are graduating and our younger high schoolers step up to fill the leadership void.  With that said we would like to send out a huge congratulations to Stephanie Leyva, Josh Canez, Matthew Eaves, Kevin Wadley and Courtney Jackson.  These five young men and women stepped it up this year by taking leadership roles in our youth group and are now graduating.  Great job guys!!!!  Keep the good work!!  We are excited to see what God has in store for your future!!!
